For over 27 years, Ayres has been a trusted name in the Los Angeles field of aging services, dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to our residents and families. Founded by Michael Gabai, Ayres has grown from humble beginnings into a model of compassion and excellence.
A Legacy of Dedication
Michael Gabai’s vision and passion for serving the elderly laid the foundation for Ayres’ journey. For nearly three decades, he has tirelessly served as the owner and administrator, instilling values of integrity, empathy, and professionalism into every aspect of our operations.
Welcoming the Next Generation
In 2021, Arielle Gabai Lewis, Michael’s daughter, joined Ayres with over a decade of experience in aging services. As an accomplished assisted living administrator, Arielle managed various communities, including skilled nursing, independent living, and assisted living. She holds a degree in public health from UC Berkeley with a focus on geriatric care.
Arielle’s leadership was recognized on Chicago’s 36 under 36 list for her contributions at The Selfhelp Home, a Jewish non-profit senior living community serving Holocaust survivors.
Currently, Arielle serves as the administrator of Ayres Residential Care Homes, where she manages three boutique assisted living homes on the westside of Los Angeles alongside her father, Michael Gabai. She holds a license as a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) administrator and is a certified dementia practitioner.
